Upper Pier Survey Results From:

Question 3. Of the following street configurations proposed and / or discussed, which do you prefer?

Keep in mind that there will be no net loss of parking spaces with any of these alternatives.


3 a. Councilmember Tucker and the Upper Pier Avenue Committee's (UPAC's) approved recommendation of 14 ft sidewalks and maintaining four lanes by keeping diagonal parking on the north side of the street only and converting to parallel parking on the south side.


3 b. Councilmember Keegan's recommendation to accomodate dedicated bicycle lanes by converting Pier Avenue to parallel parking on both sides of the street as well as the center median, and maintaining the four lane configuration.


3 c. Repaving the street and sidewalks while maintaining existing 10 ft. sidewalks, four lanes confiruation and diagonal parking.
